RV Links

2003 36' Diesel Holiday
Rambler Ambassador

Only 48,000 Miles

$69,995.00!

This coach is not only a head-turner, but also has low miles and tons of all the right bells and whistles!  And, it's priced for an immediate sale.  I was impressed by this coach in many ways, and I'll detail some in the pictures that follow.  I also enjoyed the bright, modern "command center" feeling of the cockpit.  Further, the owner is a non-smoker and never had pets aboard, so the coach has that brand-new, wholesome scent that our wives so appreciate.  Coupled with its terrific floor plan, three big slides, and the ridiculously low price (OWNER WANTS IT SOLD NOW), this coach is a steal!  Especially when you can find them all over the Internet (I'll include links at the end of this listing) selling for $135,000.00 PLUS.

The good news is, for the moment, it's still a buyer's market; but the pendulum is beginning to swing the other way and RV prices are beginning to recover towards "pre-economic crash" levels. This is the perfect time to buy your dream RV!

This will be a private party sale.  What's that about?  Is Lance's RV Center a Dealership or not?  Well, not in the case of this coach.  We don't own this coach.  We've serviced it for some time and know both it and its owner very well.  When the owner said he wanted to sell it, we stepped in.  We have a POA to represent him, and payment will be made to us; but because of the particular circumstances, there will not be any sales tax.  That alone will save you thousands of dollars!

First, here are the photos from the Holiday Rambler 2003 website, courtesy of Holiday Rambler, Monaco Coach and all rights reserved by them:

A happy campsite...
This reminds me of the true story of the couple who purchased an RV and while on the freeway engaged the cruise control and promptly left the driver's seat and moved to the sofa.

After the crash, he explained that he thought the cruise control was an "autopilot", that would drive the coach while he lounged in back watching TV.

My coach is never this messy (yeah, right) - Will someone please do the dishes?
Happy galley - My shelves never look this organized.
I can't think of any way to get this shot without either tearing off the exterior wall or drilling a hole in it for the camera lens...

So, why buy the one we have for sale?  Here's some examples of what they are selling for elsewhere:

2003 HR Ambassador, just reduced from $95,000 to $88,000:

We could do this all day - Our coach is priced to SELL!

OK, well, enough of that...  Here come the actual photos of the RV in question (they do take gorgeous pictures though, don't they?).  And while the ones that follow may not be as slick as the ones from Holiday Rambler, they do accurately reflect the actual condition of the RV for sale ;-)

A terrific outdoors view showing the elegant exterior design scheme, full body paint, and good overall condition of finish.

The fiberglass exterior of the coach is in good condition, with the light oxidation typical of our Tucson climate, but it still responded well to our waxing and I was very pleased with the results of our exterior detail.
Another exterior view showing the rear quarter.

A super sturdy and attractive ladder was a pleasing surprise.

So many times I start up the ladder and feel I'm taking my life in my hands.

And even though I'm a pretty big guy, I felt secure with this one ;-)
First impressions...

You know, they are just so important!  One of the very first things to grab my attention was this coach's brightness.

So many RV's are like small caves, dark, reclusive.  I don't know who designs those types of interiors, but perhaps "better living through chemistry" might improve their outlooks.

Well, that wasn't a problem here, this interior is bright and cheery!
Here's a shot that captures the attractiveness of the front console.  As you can see, it's clean as a whistle and the colors are perfect for that "high-tech" feeling you get when seated behind the wheel.

Also, the passenger's seat is every bit as nice, with its optional electric footrest that let's you kick your feet up, while the power adjustments position the chair just right for you.
I don't know about you, but I could travel in this coach for a good long time without fatigue.

The cockpit is bright, open, and well-lighted, but also the captain's chairs are more like my living room furnishings than the typical fare offered in an RV.

The leather is perfect, bright, comfortable, and the passenger's seat even has an electric footrest - Plus, the captain's chairs rotate to face into the main salon, providing perfect seating when entertaining!

A final entry shot showing again how bright and cheery the cockpit area is, and also a look at the passenger's footrest.

I'd call the leather "as new" - I was unable to find a single defect or equipment malfunction.

As mentioned, the passenger's footrest is electric, and both captain's lounges rotate to face into the RV's main salon, providing valuable seating if entertaining and two lovely pieces of furniture!

Here's a look back towards the main salon showing the sofa.

It's in perfect condition and the color scheme is tasteful.

I love my dog, but there's just no getting around the fact that my wife (and yes, even I) can smell "dog" when entering a coach that has had pets onboard on trips, and much more so with cats.

As mentioned, this owner never had pets aboard and all the fabrics and upholsteries smell new!

We store our coaches indoors, and here's a shot taken while it was "in the hanger."  Turning down the exterior lighting and closing the doors, gives us a great way to show you both daytime and evening views.

When evening arrives, you'll find the lighting in this RV to be spectacular and dramatic!

It turns the coach into a completely different environment; soothing and elegant.

A close look at the sofa in its slide out nook...

The fabric looks and smells new, and it's cushions are very comfortable.

It has wonderful accent lighting that makes for a very desirable area, and end tables at each end!

The sofa also serves as a jackknife bed, providing extra sleeping room for your travel guests.

Also notice the Day/Night window treatments.  I operated all of them throughout the RV and found them to all operate smoothly and without flaw.

Here's an evening look down the passenger's side towards the rear of the coach.

Even as well-lighted as this is, all the overhead lighting is off, and only the accent lighting is operating in the dining and kitchen areas.

As stated previously, the coach can provide every mood and function that lighting can provide.  From romantic evenings for the two of you, or brighter settings for entertaining or playing your favorite games!

Here's a little wider angle looking toward the rear of the coach with all the house light lit.

Here's the daytime view looking aft down the passenger's side.

The hardwood table and overstuffed upholstered chairs are particularly nice, with beautiful fabrics and very comfortable.

Personally, I always prefer table seating to a booth.  Also, notice that the chairs consist of 2 high-back and 2 low-back (low-back to be placed on galley side), I've shown one of each side by side to display the difference.  The 2 low chairs can be stored in the basement!

A closer look at the table and chairs.

Also, take note of the cabinetry.  I haven't mentioned it up to now, but it is exquisite!

The owner purchased all the pricy cabinetry upgrades and it was a great decision!  It not only affected the hardwood cabinets, but also the wood trim throughout, adding architectural features like the corner roses and inlayed-trim bordering the slideouts.

Details like these really add to the quality and luxury of the motor coach.

Here's the captain's lounge chairs rotated into the living area.

The carpet is in excellent condition and when the living area slides are extended and the captain's chairs rotated, you can't over states this coach's spaciousness.

Also, the passenger's seat features an electric footrest making it into a recliner.

Moving towards the rear of the coach we come to the galley.

Notice the use of light and mirrors to provide both well-lit work work areas as well as a nice ambiance.

The solid Corian counters mean years of use while retaining their beauty.

The galley includes a flip-up counter piece to add that extra counter space that you might want if preparing a meal for guests.

Both the side-by-side stainless steel sink and range tops also have Corian covers.

A daylight look at the galley...

Worthy of note are the exceptionally nice Sharp Carousel microwave/convection combo oven.

The oven is large and can be used as a microwave for quick heating and re-heating and also as a convection oven you can prepare baked goods, roast everything from a whole chicken to broiled steaks in record time.

The Atwood Wedgewood Vision 3-burner gas range offers a configuration to accommodate even larger cookware.

On the galley's opposite wall is the beautifully trimmed Norcold refrigerator freezer with icemaker.

While I haven't spoken much about it until now, you'll find lots of terrific storage in your galley for everything from your staples and groceries to your assortment of cookware.

Looking down the hallway, on the right you can see the double doors concealing the Splendide washer/dryer combo and just past, the glass-enclosed shower and the entry to the bedroom.

A look at the Norcold with icemaker.

As you can see, even with the icemaker, you'll still have room to store your frozen foods.

Notice the cabinet to the right - Everywhere you look you'll find storage!

The galley, main salon, stateroom, hallway and bedroom all have have lots of room for your traveling items.

Another example of storage -

I love clever design!  And along the hallway (right around the corner from the galley) is a very roomy pull-out storage bin that glides out for easy access then tucks away.

Looking down the hallway towards the bedroom...

The Splendide washer/dryer is visible with its left-hand door opened.

Again, all this wood is quality hardwood - No laminate or composites, just solid hardwood doors.

Notice the recessed sliding door on the right of the photo, just past the refrigerator.

It serves to close-off the shower area as well as the entire aft section of the coach.  Between this sliding door and the one for the bedroom, you can isolate the shower/lav.

There is no way to over-emphasize the value and convenience of an onboard washer/dryer.  No trying to navigate traffic and parking through an unfamiliar town looking for a laundromat.

This is the Splendide 2100 and it handles up to a 15lb load!  It features automatic switchover from wash to dryer mode.  It has as many wash programs, dryer programs, and temperature options as many home washer dryers! As a vented dryer system it doesn't heat your coach.

It takes about 40 min. to wash and up to 90 min. to dry a load of queen-sized sheets, all automatically!

A look at the shower and hallway looking forward from the bedroom.

Many RV's really suffer in the area of the shower, with so many being cramped, dark, and just plain uncomfortable.

But that's not the case here!  This is a terrific shower with a glass enclosure and a giant, full-sized skylight - Literally, the entire shower ceiling is a skylight!

The shower is the perfect size.  I am NFL offensive line-sized, and even I could comfortably shower without feeling claustrophobic like so many other showers I see here.

Also, there is privacy.  The shower closes-off from both the front and back of the coach.

Opposite the shower is the main lavatory.  I say main, because the bedroom also features a sink!

Take notice of the hardwood floors - Not only beautiful, but so very easy to keep clean when traveling!

A first look at the inside of the lavatory.

These rooms are notoriously difficult to photograph well, so I'll open with an apology...

Quality - Hardwood and Corian.  The lavatory is quite lovely.  Beautifully appointed and plent of room.

Also, lots of storage for all those items that my wife always seems to want to absolutely fill the restroom.  Everything from the functional to the decorative (please don't tell her I said this or I'll be sleeping UNDER the RV, not in it ;-)

A better look at the lavatory counter top and sink with fixture.

Take notice of the quality of the fixture.

RV makers find lots of ways to try to fool you into thinking their lower-end coach is a quality RV, and if you have a trained eye, you can spot the real deal.

This sink has a brushed nickle-finish single handle fixture.

These are not inexpensive.  Many coaches skimp on quality details and this is an example of how to judge an RV's quality.  That's a very nice fixture!

Looking from the bedroom forward.

To the right you see the second sink, again with expensive fixtute and solid Corian countertop, with a mirrored cabinet above.

Don't be confused by the image, the television is a reflection in the mirror and is actually on the opposite wall.

Having two lavatory sinks is really nice.  I like the option of still being able to brush my teeth (or whatever grooming my wife might enjoy) without feeling rushed when using the main bath.  Everywhere you look, quality hardwood.

A little fuller view of the bedromm lav and cabinets.

I noticed that I failed to turn on the under-counter light beneath the cabinet in the upper-right of the photo.  When lit, it provides even more light to the area.

My wife mentioned to me that she would change out the bulbs over the sink to a particular type of light that ladies like for applying their makeup.  Personally, I liked the light, but I don't often wear makeup ;-)

As you round the corner, the bathroom lavatory's Corian countertop continues on along the wall, providing area for your favorite accent items.

Beneath the countertop is storage, storage, and more storage - All in gorgeous hardwood!

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it up to this point, but all the windows have Day/Night shades, all of which work smoothly.

Unseen in these daylight shots are the shade you can achieve by deploying the exterior awnings over each of the windows.

And finally at the end of the wall, we find yet more hardwood-trimmed storage and the television.
Looking forward from the corner of the bedroom, notice how the door seals off the rear of the coach, from the shower back, for privacy.

Additionally, the sliding door (just to the left of the shower) can also be closed, isolating the area.

Want even more room in the shower/lavatory area?  When the pictured door closing off the rear of the coach is closed, there is a sliding door (you can see it in pictures showing the hallway just past the refrigerator/freezer) that can also be closed, providing a very large after-shower dressing area.

Here's a terrific look at the bedroom, showing the enormous amount of hardwood drawers, dressers, and cabinets as well as the double mirrored door closet.

Looking into the bedroom towards the queen size bed.

I really appreciated the quality decor in this RV.

The bedroom's slide-out nestles the bed in an attractive alcove, trimmed in beautiful hardwood cabinets and trim.

Also note the color coordinated trim, valances, and bedding.

A final look in the stateroom-quality bedroom.

Each side of the bed even has its own little accent shelf with under-shelf storage for your favorite book or a box of tissues.

Back to the salon...

A daylight shot without a wide enough angle lens (sorry) to truly give the the perspective of just how spacious this coach feels.

You can, however, catch a glimpse of the decor - coordinated fabrics, upholsteries, window treatments and valances...  These are some of the subtle difference between a real luxury coach and a lesser quality, dressed-up "pretender" that some RV manufacturers try to pass off on an unsuspecting public.

It's a very pretty coach when bathed in the onboard accent lighting.
This coach has a wonderful awning!  It's a top-of-the-line Carefree awning that features a channel-set light fixture (which they say will enable you to read a book from anywhere under the awning) and serves as a bug light.

There are also channel accessories.  Included with this one, is a sliding hanger, perfect for hanging a potted plant or wet clothes when you've had a swim.

Back outdoors...

An impressive vehicle.

I like the understated color scheme - Not flashy, just classy.

Profile.
The matching set on Goodyear tires are in excellent condition with lots of happy trips yet remaining!
Passenger's side with dinette / galley slide extended.

This could be your new memory-making, family-bonding fun machine!
